Simple Past

Simple Past

VERB+ed

you called Mark.

Did you call Mark?

you did not call Mark.

USE 1 Completed Action in the Past

Use the Simple Past to express the idea that an action started and finished at a specific time in the past. Sometimes, the speaker may not actually mention the specific time, but they do have one specific time in mind.

Examples:

I saw a football match yesterday.

I did not see the Dog yesterday.

last year i discussed my doctorate.

Mark spoke with the teacher yesterday.

He replaced the player.

Did he replaced the player?

He did not replaced the player.

"that's about simple past one completed action. we will be back very soon with: simpl past

 Series of Completed Actions"

"see you soon :)"
